Over the last 10 years, I have come to think of myself as a brand designer, but I have gained a great deal of experience in a multitude of other disciplines too. I have done my time as an unpaid intern and worked under some excellent designers, and experienced the good and bad of the business world. All of this led me to where I am today.

Now though, I am ready for a new challenge. I wish to join an experienced creative team, in a more senior role to impart my knowledge and learn from those around me as well. I know I still have a lot to learn. But then I do believe that we should never stop learning, because the world is constantly changing around us.

Brand Manager / Lead Graphic Designer

As brand manager, I looked after all aspects of the company’s visual communications. I worked with a team of social media, digital communication, web and software professionals to create online campaigns, marketing messages and user journeys that are consistent and on brand. I also learnt a great deal about agile software development and designing for user journeys.

MA Design (Branding)

Since my BA I’ve held an interest in branding. So for my MA project, this is where I focused my attention, specifically, how it can be used to change perceptions and build customer relationships. Two concepts of particular interest to me were the building of a brand without the use of a company logo and place branding. My final design project was dedicated to the rejuvenation of New Orleans’ tourist footfall post Hurricane Katrina.

PGCE (Ages 14+)

Passing on my knowledge and experience has always been something I wanted to do as I got older, whether as a lecturer or as a senior designer. This post-graduate course taught me a lot about myself as well as the “in’s and out’s” of teaching to various styles of learning.

BA (Hons) Visual Communication

This is where I learnt the basics of visual design, including the use of effective typography, imagery, editorial layouts and logo design. I developed from a fine art student into a designer during the duration of this course.
